Valentines Chocolate Cheesecake

So, I finally found a heart shaped springform pan, so I made a chocolate cheesecake for my family for Valentines.

Chocolate Fudge Cheesecake

Crust:
1 1/2 cups vanilla wafer crumbs
1/2 cup icing sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/3 cup butter

Cheesecake:
2 cups chocolate chips
3 bricks (250 g) cream cheese
1 can sweetened condensed milk
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla

Preheat oven to 300. Mix together crust ingredients and press into a springform pan. Melt chocolate in double boiler or microwave (I find microwave is easier and works just fine with chocolate chips). Beat cream cheese until light and fluffy. Add in sweetened condensed milk and beat in until smooth. Add in chocolate, eggs and vanilla and beat until well blended. Pour into pan and bake for 55 minutes.

    1. Yes, pretty much any grocery store sells cream cheese bricks, usually beside the softer cream cheese, which comes in tubs. They're pretty easy to find. :)

    3. I think the only way to make any sort of cheesecake is with a springform pan. But, I would suggest google-ing it to see how it would work if you tried it otherwise. But I'm pretty sure you need a sprinform pan.

  3. Hi Jess this is Karen :)

    Couple of questions:

1- approx how long does the prepping take (everything up to the baking part)

2- can you for ex. do the crust stuff, put it on the springform, and keep it in the fridge so i can do the filling the next day? (dont have too much time after work to do everything in one go)

3- if the answer to #2 is "no", can i make the filling all in one go and refrigerate it so i can cook it later?

If it needs to be done all in 1 step i can try to make time but was wondering if dividing the steps in 2 days is even possible.

also, do you have to put in the fridge as soon as its cooled down from the oven???

    THANKS!!!!
